Would you like to hear bluegrass, jug bands, mountain music, folk... fiddle, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, voices rich in country twang ? Come to this show to hear all this, and to get a picture of Kentucky, the bluegrass state. Come to experience lazy days in summer ; nights on the porch looking at stars ; the fields of clover where the horses sleep ; hiking in the woods ; watching children square dancing. Listen to stories of deep love, family, honesty, hard work, nature, and of course moonshine. This sound has never made big commercial success- it depends on the personal connection between listener and musician. So you will want to connect to the music, feel both the sadness and liveliness. Each show will be a new theme- songs of revenge, songs played on banjo, songs from Kentucky bands, songs about mountains, ballad songs, and songs of love. We will play songs, talk about them, give information about the artist and the song, and recommend other things to listen to if you like the music. Come share a lazy Sunday afternoon with us !
